You don’t need to purchase anything else like hosting or other domains, you just register a domain and the first year you don’t pay any fees. To get your free domain go here and complete all the steps, if you are asked to add anything else to your order, don’t do it. You will have a free domain registered for a year, after a year you will have to pay the renew fee $34.99 but in my opinion is better to transfer your domain to an other registrar for the usual fee $7-8.

That’s a huge fee, do the math and you can buy a $9 domain and just continue to pay $9 again.. sounds better!

Scorpiono the idea was to register it for free and after a year to transfer it to an other registrar and pay the transfer fee that is $7-8. In this way you can avoid register.com’s free of $34.99

Doesnt look like a good deal to me. There are some offers you can sign up, not give a credit card, and still get a free domain. I just saw it on wickedfire a bit a go, I’ll try to dig it up.
